About

Augustine is a problem-solver and leader entering his second year of undergraduate architectural studies at the Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design, University of Toronto.

In a profession that combines both creative and practical problem solving skills, his main motivation to study architecture rose from a desire to manage Hong Kong's problematic urban development. Since then, his interest in architecture has expanded to include how history and local context can be applied to create meaningful designs. This summer, he  collaborated with Professor Peter Sealy to discover new information about Chinese architecture and architectural photography, and has currently extended his position to investigate 19th century architect Eugène Viollet-le-Duc and his use of drawing and photographic techniques, in addition to Montreal's Expo67 and Underground City.

In his free time, he pursues various interests, from photography to journalism, to hiking and writing, and urban exploration.
